reading time
I found this on another blog and it got me thinking about my mother. Some day i will buy her a house with a book room remarkably similar to this one of Karl Lagerfeld in the new Elle Decoration (UK). With the addition of some color, of course.
"It would be great if you could buy with the books the time to read them". -Schopenhauer
When I was a girl, my mother would take me shopping. No, scratch that, my mother would find a bench outside the store and read her book while I did the shopping . Purchasing was the only disruption she allowed me.
Father, of course, would always be caught with a book too, lazily reading in his recliner. Both my parents are such marvelous readers; what happened to me?

summer floats
MY lovely roommate, Nicole, came home the other day with (gasp!) floaty-innertubes! They had F-U-N written all over them, and they were on $1. We slid into the pool, only nicole didn't fully inflate hers so it sort of collapsed in on her (like I usually am with her, I was laughing so hard by this point)! But eventually we got the hang of it, and if it weren't for some rambunctious swimmers, we could have floated there all day long. Isn't Nicole's swimmer-suit so sensational?? From Deliah's. Mine is another sale find at GAP. Oooh blessed summer.

Can you see the rufflets? They're there, on the bottoms of my dress. And on brooke's. Um our random roommate took this picture so deal with the blurrrrrr. And the second picture, where it looks like i'm coughing...that's because I am. I have this weird-sick-cough-sorethroat-stuffynose-can'tTASTEanything-thing, and it won't go away. Hey! This dress is from Italy too. How fun. I love to buy things from far away. And I love the store ZARA's, which is where I found this foxy dress. Bellissimo!
