grand plan

I tried to go to DENNY'S with Austin today to get my hands on a free grand slam. The plan was to go at 7 to try and "beat the lines", but the lines would've taken hours to get through. Maybe I'll go for a grand slam lunch, before 2pm? The problem is we're going on a double for lunch at 11, to get some sushi...but most likely I'll still be hungry :]

i think i want a combo.

some people are starting to wear (super cute) headbands instead of veils for their wedding (what? i just always have weddings on my mind...). i so love the veil, i don't think i could NOT wear one...but how about combining the two? check these super cute bandos

 i want to go to the ANNIE LEIBOVITZ: A PHOTOGRAPHER’S LIFE exhibit in new york. she is just amazing. if ever there was time to be everything i wanted to be, photographer would def be one of my occupations. this was just so inspiring...
   

hello there

Wii worked really hard today

Work was so stressful today. After receiving our new equipment and software, we had to put it together and learn how to use it, so that we can help future teachers learn to use it in the classroom. There was just so much to do and by the end of it all I was pretty exhausted. Sheesh, I really should be paid a lot more for all the work and stress that goes into my job.

reading time

I found this on another blog and it got me thinking about my mother. Some day i will buy her a house with a book room remarkably similar to this one of Karl Lagerfeld in the new Elle Decoration (UK). With the addition of some color, of course.

When I was a girl, my mother would take me shopping. No, scratch that, my mother would find a bench outside the store and read her book while I did the shopping . Purchasing was the only disruption she allowed me.

Father, of course, would always be caught with a book too, lazily reading in his recliner. Both my parents are such marvelous readers; what happened to me?
